Blue pottery is a pottery technique of Turko-Persian origin and was introduced in India in the 14th Century. The unique style makes it suitable for a variety of purposes which could include aromatherapy or simply as a home decor piece.
The process consists of blending Quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth), borax gum, and water. Crafting each oil burner can take 2-3 days due to the extensive decorative details and artistry which goes into every single one.
This distinctive piece of art does not use clay unlike common pottery methods.
